Of Moments

Sometimes, all I just need is a recollection of a moment to sober me down. A spontaneous occurance of an event that at that point in time, felt real or was really real. Like of how i savoured every smell and drop of a cup of kapeng batangas, or when a chilhood sweetheart reaches his hand from the top bunk bed just so we could hold hands together, or that unexplainable excitement of eating gonuts. It doesnt really have to be scripted. It simply has to happen at the right time even if it wasnt in the most perfect setting. And I know, that from then on, the moment bank gets added up. Theres more backup to fight the melancholy brought by waves crashing to the shore....

2 weeks vacation

One more sleep, an advance comprehensive exam and make that two drinking sessions (one in davao tonight and one in manila tomorrow) and im finally off to my trip to New York. I must admit, going to the Big Apple this time around is something i really looked forward to. Im not sure if its because i only get to have 2+ weeks to hear dad's obnoxious snoring or this excitement is part of the 2007-surprise-me vibe. But nevertheless, im really thankful that I can spend time with my family again since we werent able to go last year aside from kuya. I really really miss my parents, especially mama! I know they cant wait to give me lenghty sermons once i get there hahaha.

Maybe it has something to do with the new set up too. Kuya has been there since May of last year, which makes them 3 in NY and only 2 of us left here (not fair!). Or the fact that this trip might be my last trip to NY with a definite return date. Come end of my senior year and theres no doubt where my ass would be, either in padada planting kamote or in uncle sam's terf.

Still have some last minute shopping to do, documents to leave to eubert and people to see and talk before I leave. Mura kog korek noh hahahahaha sa makasabot lang..

Good thing no one ever thought of a Davao City official condom.. It could probably come in Durain flavor hahaha

Sponsor Me

As far as I can remember (without looking at my status), ive been with blog-city for more than 3 years. If not for Chinito (who at that time was with blog-city who wrote that certain peyup's article that led me through his blog), i would never get lost at this one hell of a great blog host. I heart blog-city for its simplicity. Creating an entry here is no rocket science and plus, im spared with html tweaking. I know friends who moved because blog-city didnt allow them to grow html wise but still I stayed because im such a sucker for comfort. Theres that probability of separation anxiety but overall I didnt moved because I wanted to write more than to enhance my layout. With blog-city I did a couple of redesign (changed colors and added up bookmarks) but it was work that even a kindergaraten could do. Two words to describe why i fell in love with this hosting service, NOT COMPLICATED!

Im still on the firm belief that content is way beter than widgets. Haha! Thats just my lazy ass talking.

Blog-city has announced its shift from a free bloging service to a paying one. I have till the end of the year though to either pay stay or move. With the subscription prices I should really start figuring out how to move my 400+ entries (thought of saving as html to save those precious comments). But moving would mean leaving behing the simple life in the neighborhood and my url. Ed said "Oh well, can't keep something forever". But actually I can, only that it has an attached price tag. I've talked to Drei about this almost a matter of life and death concern and he too was hesitant to move. Thank God, im not alone in expressing their undying love for the simple features blog-city pampers to its users. And so we somehow came up with a solution, if we cant pay for the $4.50 / £2.30 monthly subscription or a cheaper $45.00 / £25.00 one year subscription (roughly 2205 pesos and almost equal to 83 bottles of RH in a Davao Bar Rate) maybe we can get someone or a lot of someone's to pay for it hehe.

I know no one in their right sober minds would shell out that much for an insanely intoxicated blog of mine but im serious in getting a sponsor until I find my own means to afford to pay it on my own. So folks without further much a do I am knocking on your generous hearts and your pockets as well. I cant find the perfect reason why you should shell out though. Theres probably no reasonable excuse at all but out of the hope that there are still helpful people, i need YOUR cash err help.

PS. inreturn i can do whatever you want me to do except eat liver or ampalaya, dance to the beat of any novelty song, wipe somebody elses ass and other stuff that involves ingestion of anything moving.

Anyways, intersted parties please feel free to email me at atenzg@gmail.com and work on the negotiation.

ravissant made this comment,
sana nga 'no? i'm a little upset at the fact that i was a premium blogger w/ them for 3 yrs., now they don't even give you any incentive like offering a discount or keep the free subscription to their loyal bloggers. i don't know how to go about saving all my entries. can you help?

Excuse si moi

L***** M******

Dean - College of N

DDC

Good Day Ma'am,

It has come into my knowledge that my NCM 102 comprehensive exam falls in the same day that I intend to visit my parents and brother in New York for the summer. My mom already booked me and my sister a March 26 th 12:55am flight bound to Chicago where my family will meet up and spend a couple of days to see the city before heading off to New York. I will be leaving for Manila on the afternoon of March 25 to catch my flight to Chicago .

I really thought that the comprehensive exam would be by March 24 considering that I'm from the Thursday group. Little did I know that the exam is set on the 26th so that both Thursday and Monday group will simultaneously take the exam.

Ma'am, if it's not too much to ask I was hoping that you would reconsider and let me take the exam earlier or in a time you would be comfortable with as long as it does not conflict my scheduled flight and your schedules as well. I can no longer move my flight since it has been all set and most, my younger sister who is still a minor cannot travel without me. Also Ma'am moving both of our flights would lessen the days that I get to spend with my family since I will just be there in roughly 2 and half weeks time. I will be back in Davao by April 10 because summer classes would start by then.

I know this is a huge favor to ask that is why if you will be giving me the chance to take the exam in advance I guarantee your office that I would respect the confidentiality of the comprehensive exam. It's the only thing I know I can make up for, for letting me spend a few weeks with my family together in a year.

Attach with this letter are the necessary documents to prove my claim.

Respectfully Yours,

Shawty

thats a lot of free space! We need to be in the picture too!!!!

Sucker Punch Em

Technically i have no right to make any say about the upcoming elections. First because I opted to spend a full day in the beach with rhum-coke and lemons than waiting in line to get registered (cant blame me it was a school break) and second, Im not sure that if i do vote, it will be counted (now this we know whom to blame). But since I watch tv now, I am deeply concern that my precious time is being wasted on serioulsy-your-running candidates and unchoreographed overpriced political ad campaigns.

Lets start first with Pacman. Dont take me wrong,i love this guy for being a kick or i should say punch ass bisaya. He has brought honor to our country more than the president had in her 2 terms. But he running as congressman for Gen-San is purely preposterous. Goodness, the guy cant even construct correct subject verb agreement how much more mandate laws. Yes, I am indeed undermining his law-making capacity because as far as i can remember im not yet insane like those who believe that he can make it to congress. If he wants to help the poor then he can drove in his porshe cayenne all over gen-san and shower moohlahs all over the place. Pacquiao fits to be a philanthropist not the guy who will be wearing barong tagalog behind a 2 storey high phillipine flag with a big poster of 'sucker-punch-me' on his forhead.

Manny Pacquiao cannot be congressman (atleast for now), just because!!! And whoever thinks he can should be sentence to a firing squad by all of Pacquiao's 20 exempted firearms from the election gun ban.

Them celebrities.

I get it that my movie ticket purchase is very vital for the film industry but seriously I would rather receive an upper cut from Pacquiao than watch a tagalog movie. This attitude of mine made me realized that maybe thats why them celebrities want to run for senators to get cope up with the revenues they should have got from people like me. People like me who would rather watch the weather channel than spend both time and money on the latest tagalog flick.

Does bench want to be the national clothing line and letting Gomez run will be the only way to ammend such law? Because if that was the case I would surely vote for him (that is if i was registered to do so). He's tall dark and handsome and he would surely walk around senate with supervly pressed designer taileored suits. He will spice up senate with his fashion sense and it would be a refreshing site from all those senior citizens but what else can he do other than endorsing bench briefs to be the national underwear? The guy looks smart, confident cocky type even but lets face it, his catwalk apperances or movie portfolios is not enough and should not be a basis for voters to vote him. Is he even a political science graduate? Or is he even a college graduate even for Ben Chan's sake?

But serioulsy if the slot as his campaign manager is still open I'd apply. I just have the perfect strategy for his campaign. Im gonna gather up the bench boys and have them do an underwear fashion show for pre-bono (im use they would say yes and so that admin cant say we spent too much on hunky models). John Hall would be wearing a black super low brief, Wendell Ramos would be in a very sexy white underwear but before that I poured a bucket load of water to give him that wet look (haha), ofcourse Gomez gets to ramp with his boxers of choice (he should atleast be decent since he's "senatoriabl") and the finale, my ultimate super duper crush (next to andy roddick) Rob Duat with his gorgeous puckered lips would be on a black butt cheecks exposing brief. Olala! Its gonna be hot! Gomez gets plus point and who knows maybe this kind of below the belt strategy would win him a sit in senate hahahahahaha.

Montano.. What the fuck is he thinking running for senator. Seriously?! And was (and still is) the administration on drugs for putting him in their party? I just dont get it with celebrities who have no political background whatsoever (even a purok leader or a college subject on philippine constitution) and just all of a sudden decide to run for a legislative position. Dont they get the gravity of legislation? Its not enough that they sing around in their campaigns and flash their celebrity smiles.

Montano and Gomez needs to reasses themselves if they are indeed ready for the senate. If they are really man enough like what they always portray in their movies, they would have the decency to step down form their senatioral campaign and accept the fact that they need first to know how the law works before making one.

I've been listening to inquirer.net's podcast on the 2007 senatoriable candidates and i salute to whoever is behind this. Not only that it is very accesable but the fact that I know who says alot of bullshit . They havent completed the complete senatioriable line up yet but so far only 3 of them had caught my attention because out of them all I think they were the only one who knows what they were talking about.

PS. I cant wait for Gomez and Montano's podcast. Im sure it will be hilarious!

blueskies made this comment,
i have a feeling it will be like a popularity contest (not that it isnt already). someday philippines will be governed by celebrities and the likes. the horror.

wow political ngayon si shawty. hehe. :) personally, i really don't think my vote would count. change is a long process, and one vote from me is irrelevant. i know this is a bad mindset, but i'd rather be like this and be selfish. life is too short to worry about pathetic stuff like politics. hehe. :)
